Sex and Gender Specific Health (SGSH) refers broadly to sex and gender differences in health and may be applied across health professions. These terms are based on the understanding that biology (dictated by sex chromosomes) and social roles (gender) are important in and have implications for prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment; and in the design and implementation of health research policy, programs, and services in men and women.
We welcome posters concerning LGBTQI health as an important area of focus within the broader field of SGSH, but we would also like to focus on posters showcasing programs that exhibiting sex and gender differences in every aspect of health.
